The Grand Pier at Weston super Mare in Somerset is one of the ultimate attractions in the South West . It is a unique new fun venue that hosts an indoor theme park with rides and attractions for all the family sourced from all over the world, which give a state of the art twist to the traditional Go Karts and Dodgems.
Children are specially catered for in the new children’s play area, where they can have fun in safety, while parents can experience one of the 29 excellent food and snack outlets, ranging from doughnuts or fish and chips to cream teas. Perhaps try an American Sundae or hot dog, or relax over a drink in Captain Jack’s bar.
The Grand Pier will be hosting many fantastic events throughout the year, including a street party, and concerts and stage shows, circus and TV spectaculars in the indoor pavilion which can hold up to 3,500 people.
Celebrate your special occasion on the Grand Pier, which can cater for all occasions from both adult and children’s birthday parties, black tie events, weddings, and stag and hen parties.
It is also a unique, fun and ultra modern venue for corporate hospitality events with versatile meeting spaces for from 10 to 2,600 people, and provides inspirational and educational school visits, matched to meet your school requirements.

Indoor Theme Park
Fun and exciting rides and attractions for all the family. Sourced worldwide, there are 18 all weather rides, including something for young and old, local or visitor. The House of Horrors is a state of the art ghost train where zombies and terrifying ghouls await. The Dodgems are a traditional ride brought up to date with lighting and sound enhancing the whole experience. The 4D Cinema features special effects like strobe lighting, leg ticklers, rain and wind, and the Crazy Circus and Psychedelia, the Lazer Maze and the Crystal Maze give illusions that can be felt! Rides such as the Robocoaster and the Sidewinder, the Helter Skelter and the Freefall are truly thrilling, and there is a wide range of arcade games.
Go Karts
Test out your driving skills – the new split level track takes go karting to another level. A fast electric indoor track with 8 demanding corners, this is the biggest ride on the pier. The go kart track is available for exclusive hire for birthday parties and corporate events. There is even a Go Kart School, where children aged from eight to 15 can sign up which will take them through beginner, intermediate and advanced driver training. A regular Grand Prix is run, where drivers qualify, run in at least two heats and then take part in a final race to find the overall winner.
Concerts and Events
The Great Hall in the pavilion is licensed for up to 3,500 people, and the Grand Pier will be hosting many fantastic events throughout the year in its unique venue. Already the Grand Pier has launched British Tourism UK with a massive conga during a Party on the Pier, has headlined a top rap artist and held the town’s biggest ever indoor concert. Planned for the future is a Street Party for the Royal Wedding.
Corporate Events? A room for 10 for board meetings or a venue for 2,600? Or hire the whole venue! Have your company conference on the Grand Pier, with a large choice of meeting rooms and suites, then enjoy the Grand Pier’s rides and attractions.
Parties
The ultimate place to throw a party – celebrate a special occasion on the Grand Pier – childrens’ birthday parties, where they can have a choice of the soft play area or 5 a side football, or a party themed to pirates or princesses. Stag and hen parties, or black tie events can be held in the 200 capacity function room. Older children can celebrate their birthdays with pre-paid tickets for all the rides, whilst stag parties might prefer a Go-Kart Grand Prix!
Weddings
Celebrate your special day on the Grand Pier – a truly unique setting for your civil ceremony, wedding breakfast and evening reception. Make use of the Bridal Room, then tie the knot in the Tower on the second floor (which has a private entrance) before enjoying your reception in one of the versatile indoor spaces of varying sizes with amazing views from windows and balconies. Choose one of the ready made wedding packages or talk to our wedding team as to your requirements.
