The Old Thatched Cottage has been a family run licensed restaurant in Weston super Mare for over 45 years, set in a grade two listed building, and specialising in Scottish Steak and fresh fish including Sea Bass, Swordfish, Dover and Lemon Sole. It serves a la carte and Mediterranean influenced food.  It offers an extensive menu and an excellent selection of world wines to accompany the dining experience.

The Old Thatched Cottage Restaurant is situated on the seafront at Weston super Mare with fabulous views over the bay towards the new Grand Pier. It provides lunch and evening meals all year round, and there is also a bar and a garden area. Inside the atmosphere is warm and relaxed, and outside is a paved terrace with cover and heater, and soft music playing over the waterproof speakers completes the al fresco experience.

The open kitchen allows customers to see what is happening behind the scenes offering the comfort that your food, especially the fresh fish and steak is being prepared with care. All meals are freshly prepared from the finest selected raw ingredients, even the sauces are made individually for every order. All food is presented beautifully and in a modern style.


The Old Thatched Cottage Restaurant is experienced in catering for anything from the romantic table for two to a wedding party with one hundred guests. Owner and manager Maria and her team’s service and attention to detail makes this the perfect destination for all occasions.

The Old Thatched Cottage specialises in fresh fish, including Sea Bass, Swordfish, Dover and Lemon Sole. Fish is served with Maunier Sauce or Olive Oil, Garlic & Lemon . All meals are freshly prepared from the finest selected raw ingredients, even the sauces are made individually for every order.
